Ava Marie is an attorney in the Meshbesher & Spence Rochester office. Her practice areas include representing clients across the country in a wide variety of mass tort and class action lawsuits, including injuries from defective medical devices, pharmaceutical products, and exposure to chemicals. She also represents injured Minnesotans regarding medical malpractice, personal injury claims involving automobile and motorcycle accidents, slip and falls and dog bites, as well as criminal defense charges such as DWI, assault, and drug possession.
Ava’s legal experience includes clerking for the Hawaii State Legislature, the Department of Justice United States Attorney’s Office, and for Professor Sarah Deer on the re-authorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). For her involvement and commitment to innovation in the law community, the American Bar Association selected Ava for the 2017-2018 Emerging Leaders Program. Ava recognizes the need for lawyers to be accessible in the community and her hands-on approach to her practice means Ava meets directly with her clients whether at home, at their farm, in the hospital, or at any of the Meshbesher offices across the state.
When Ava is not in the office she can be found skiing, trying the latest foodie destination, or taking classes at the Rochester Athletic Club.
