In memory of Ron MeshbesherMeshbesher & Spence, a leading Minnesota-based personal injury law firm, announced today the passing of founder, colleague and friend, Ron Meshbesher.

Ron’s accomplishments in the courtroom were well-recognized within the Minnesota community. During his 50-year career, he tried all types of cases. He earned his reputation in several historic criminal cases in Minnesota, including the Piper kidnapping case (which remains the FBI’s largest unsolved kidnapping case), the Elizabeth Congdon murder trial, and the Ming Sen Shiue murder and kidnapping case, among many others. Ron also handled personal injury, will contests, copyright infringement, medical and legal malpractice and class actions, setting multiple state records for the settlements and verdicts he won for his clients.

Ron was recognized as a top lawyer by his peers and by the press in nearly every legal publication in the country. He earned Distinguished Service and Lifetime Achievement Awards from the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association and the American College of Trial Lawyers.
